KCMSE Home   Interested in supporting Math and Science education in the Florida Keys?  We have an exciting opportunity to initiate a local affiliate to the Florida math and science organizations.  You are invited to become a member of the Keys Council for Math and Science Educators.

Membership in this organization is open to all educators as well as community members who are math and science advocates. 

As a member you will be able to shape the future of this exciting organization.  We anticipate becoming involved with interesting, supportive and creative local educational projects.

KCMSE projects and events include

  
 

 

A fall meeting focusing on math and science learning opportunities
 

A spring meeting held at a local tourist destination to celebrate the end of FCAT testing and to discuss the goals of the organization for the following school year

 A reception to welcome new math and science teachers to the Keys and to assist them in developing a support network
 

To initiate a series of math and science competitions between students at local schools to promote student engagement in these areas

 Honoring excellence in Math and Science Education by recognizing a Florida Keys Math and Science Teachers of the Year
